SNCFI Strengthens Institutional Learning as Activity Coordinator Gains Benchmarking Exposure in Singapore

As part of its commitment to internationalization, continuous quality improvement, and academic excellence, Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc.'s (SNCFI) strengthened its institutional learning through the participation of John Lucas R. Frac, MAEd, CHRA, Activity Coordinator, in an international benchmarking exposure in Singapore on July 8–9, 2026.

The benchmarking exposure was held in conjunction with the Executive Education Program of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. It provided participants with an opportunity to observe recognized higher education institutions in Singapore and examine best practices that may be adapted to their respective organizations.

The benchmarking exposure included visits to the National University of Singapore (NUS), LASALLE College of the Arts, and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), recognized institutions in Singapore.

During the visits, participants observed various institutional practices, including student support services, academic delivery, campus facilities, creative learning environments, student engagement initiatives, institutional branding, governance systems, and internationalization strategies. These observations provided valuable insights into how each institution cultivates innovation, inclusivity, and a learner-centered educational experience.

The knowledge gained from the benchmarking exposure will support SNCFI's continuing efforts to enhance student activities, institutional events, student support services, quality assurance initiatives, and campus development programs. By examining effective practices implemented by internationally recognized institutions, SNCFI seeks to identify strategies that can be contextualized and integrated into its own operations, further strengthening its commitment to delivering responsive, innovative, and globally relevant educational experiences for its academic community.

This international benchmarking exposure likewise advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting educational excellence, innovation, and continuous professional learning through the adoption of global best practices. It also supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by strengthening institutional effectiveness, good governance, and evidence-informed decision-making through quality improvement initiatives.

Moreover, the activity reflects the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by encouraging international knowledge exchange and institutional learning from globally recognized higher education institutions, reinforcing SNCFI's commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable educational development.
