As part of its commitment to Gender Equality (SDG 5), Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI) introduces gender-neutral comfort room cubicles, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone. This initiative is led by the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in collaboration with the GENDEV Society and the Academic and Administrative Offices. Together, SNCFI continues to build a campus where everyone is respected, valued, and belongs.

The introduction of gender-neutral comfort room cubicles reflects the institution's unwavering commitment to promoting equality, dignity, and inclusivity within its learning environment. To ensure accessibility while maintaining existing facilities, SNCFI has designated one gender-neutral cubicle within the female comfort room and one gender-neutral cubicle within the male comfort room, providing inclusive spaces that can be used by individuals regardless of gender identity or expression. Through this initiative, the institution ensures that every member of its academic community can feel safe, respected, and comfortable while on campus.

This initiative directly advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality by promoting equal access to campus facilities and creating an environment where diversity is respected and discrimination is actively addressed. It demonstrates that gender equality is not only reflected in institutional policies but also in the everyday spaces that support learning and personal development. 

The project likewise contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by providing safe and inclusive sanitation facilities that promote both physical safety and mental well-being. A campus where individuals feel secure and accepted helps reduce stress, encourages positive social interactions, and supports the overall wellness of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Furthermore, the initiative supports SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by ensuring equitable access to essential facilities without fear of discrimination or exclusion. In addition, it aligns with SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by fostering a campus culture built on respect, fairness, inclusivity, and the protection of human dignity.

The collaborative efforts of the GAD Office, GENDEV Society, and the Academic and Administrative Offices exemplify SNCFI's commitment to translating its values into meaningful action.
