SNCFI Joins TOSP Region XII Orientation to Strengthen Student Leadership Development

Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI) participated in the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) – Region XII Search Program Awareness and Orientation for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) held on June 24, 2025, at Notre Dame of Marbel University, Alunan Avenue, City of Koronadal.

Representing SNCFI during the regional orientation were Mr. Antonio J. Cañete, Jr., LPT, MMEM, Director of the Department of Student Affairs and Services, and Ms. Chin Lee Joy Agramon, SNSC Adviser. Their participation reflects the institution’s continuing commitment to developing student leaders who are academically capable, socially responsible, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The TOSP Search Program is a nationally recognized initiative that honors Filipino students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, community service, character formation, and nation-building. Through the awareness and orientation activity, participating higher education institutions were provided with essential information on the objectives of the search, nomination procedures, eligibility requirements, and qualities expected of potential nominees.

The program also encouraged HEIs to identify and support students whose achievements extend beyond classroom performance. It emphasized the importance of recognizing young leaders who actively participate in community initiatives, advocate for meaningful causes, and inspire fellow students through service, integrity, and excellence.

For SNCFI, the participation of Mr. Cañete and Ms. Agramon provided an opportunity to further strengthen the institution’s student development initiatives. It also opened avenues for the institution to encourage qualified students to take part in the TOSP Search Program and showcase their leadership potential, service-oriented initiatives, and contributions to the community.

The activity supports SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting holistic education that develops learners’ academic competencies, leadership skills, values, and civic consciousness. It also aligns with SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by encouraging ethical leadership, responsible citizenship, and active youth participation in community development. Moreover, the orientation reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by bringing together higher education institutions, student affairs personnel, advisers, and regional partners in promoting programs that recognize and empower outstanding Filipino students.

As SNCFI continues to uphold its mission of nurturing competent and values-driven learners, its participation in the TOSP Region XII Search Program Awareness and Orientation affirms the institution’s dedication to empowering students to become compassionate, responsible, and transformative leaders for the future.
