BALI, Indonesia — Sir Robert-Glenn A. Miguel, Quality Assurance Officer of Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI), represented the Philippines at the 12th International Conference on Education (ICEDU 2026), held March 26 to 28, 2026 in Bali, Indonesia. Organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), the international gathering convened educators, researchers, policymakers, and academic leaders from around the world to engage in critical conversations on the future of education.
Carrying the theme “Transforming Education for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” ICEDU 2026 provided a distinguished platform for the exchange of research, policy perspectives, and emerging practices in contemporary education. Conference discussions centered on adaptive teaching, innovative research, inclusive educational development, and the strengthening of local and global partnerships—areas increasingly vital in addressing the evolving demands of learning communities worldwide.
Sir Miguel’s participation in the conference reflects both personal scholarly commitment and the broader institutional aspiration of SNCFI to remain engaged in conversations that shape education beyond national borders. His presence in this international forum underscores the importance of professional formation, academic exchange, and global engagement in advancing educational quality and relevance in the local context.
More than a professional milestone, his participation signifies the continuing role of Filipino educators and academic leaders in contributing to international discourse on transformative education. By engaging with fellow scholars and practitioners from diverse contexts, Sir Miguel helped affirm the value of linking local educational realities with global insights—an undertaking that strengthens both institutional growth and internationalization.
His involvement likewise resonates with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, which calls for inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all. It also reflects the spirit of SDG 17, which emphasizes partnerships, cooperation, and shared knowledge across institutions and nations as essential to sustainable progress.
The achievement stands as a source of pride for the entire SNCFI community. It not only honors Sir Miguel’s dedication to excellence and lifelong learning, but also reaffirms the institution’s commitment to nurturing educators and professionals who are globally aware, academically engaged, and deeply grounded in service and purpose.
