Representing Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI), Dr. Jun Y. Badie, LPT, Academic Director, participated in Day 1 of the PEAC–NUS Executive Education Program, “Transforming Philippine Education through Effective Policy Reforms,” held at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, on July 8, 2026.

Organized by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) in partnership with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the executive program brought together academic leaders and education administrators from across the Philippines to strengthen leadership capacities and explore innovative approaches to educational policy, governance, and institutional transformation.

The opening day featured a comprehensive series of expert-led lectures, policy dialogues, and collaborative learning sessions that examined global best practices in educational leadership, public governance, strategic management, and higher education reform. Participants gained valuable insights into evidence-based policymaking, institutional resilience, and innovative leadership approaches that enable educational institutions to respond effectively to the evolving demands of a rapidly changing global landscape.

Among the distinguished resource persons were Prof. Eduardo Araral, Prof. Atty. Susana Leong, and Dr. Reuben Ng, who shared their expertise on public policy, governance, leadership, innovation, and strategic institutional development. Their presentations encouraged participants to embrace forward-thinking leadership, data-informed decision-making, and collaborative governance as key drivers of educational excellence and sustainable institutional growth.

Dr. Badie’s participation reflects SNCFI’s continuing commitment to investing in the professional development of its academic leaders as part of the institution’s broader vision for academic excellence, innovation, and internationalization. The knowledge, leadership strategies, and global perspectives gained from the executive education program are expected to contribute to strengthening institutional leadership, enhancing academic quality, and advancing strategic initiatives that will benefit the College and its stakeholders.

The executive education program likewise advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by strengthening leadership competencies and promoting excellence in teaching, learning, and educational governance; SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, by fostering ethical leadership, sound public policy, and effective institutional governance; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by cultivating meaningful international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships among educational institutions and global thought leaders.
