The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) program of Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI) readied its students for fieldwork with their first step in the FS 1 and FS 2 Pre-deployment Orientation held on October 17, 2025 at Banga Central Elementary School. The activity marked the beginning of the studentsโ transition from theoretical learning to real-world teaching experience, where they will begin observing, assisting, and engaging in classroom environments.
The program opened with a welcome address from Ellen Manulat, a BECED student, who encouraged her peers to take pride in their calling as future educators and to enter their field experiences with confidence, humility, and purpose.
Ms. Ranellie Taborete, RCrim, SIPP Coordinator, discussed the policies and guidelines for deployment, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, punctuality, and proper conduct while representing the institution in partner schools.
Ms. Richelle Rose Rivera-Subillaga, LPT, Program Coordinator, introduced the college supervisors and announced the FS1 and FS2 school assignments, highlighting the value of observation, reflection, and collaboration in developing teaching competence.
Delivering the Words of Challenge, Ms. Lorna T. Padua, Public Schools District Supervisor, urged the students to approach their practicum with dedication and resilience, reminding them that their fieldwork is not only a test of skill but also of character and vocation.
Following this, Dr. Jun Y. Badie, the Academic Director of Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI), gave a heartfelt message to the students, inspiring them to uphold excellence and integrity as they take their first steps toward becoming professional educators.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Cristy Angelie De Guzman, a BECED student, followed by a checking of proper decorum and FS uniforms led by the college supervisors to ensure readiness for deployment.
By taking this significant first step, SNCFI reaffirmed its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, empowering future teachers to provide inclusive, equitable, and high-quality learning opportunities for all.
