KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato โ Representatives from government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners gathered on February 24, 2025, at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center for the Region XII leg of the Trabaho Para sa Bayan (TPB) Plan 2025โ2034 Regional Roadshow. Anchored on the theme โDecent, Safe, and Meaningful Jobs for All,โ the event emphasized a unified approach toward strengthening employment opportunities and ensuring workforce readiness across the country.
The TPB Plan, established under Republic Act No. 11962, serves as the Philippinesโ first comprehensive 10-year Labor Market Development Plan. It outlines strategic priorities aimed at expanding access to quality employment, increasing income opportunities, and preparing Filipino workers for the rapidly changing demands of the global economy. The initiative reinforces stronger collaboration between education providers and industry stakeholders to address skills gaps and promote sustainable growth.
Representing SNCFI, Mr. Marlon Andag, Guidance Advocate, took part in the regional discussions to better understand how the institution can align its academic and career guidance programs with national labor market priorities. His participation reflects SNCFIโs continuing commitment to equipping students with relevant competencies and career pathways responsive to industry needs.
The objectives of the TPB Plan strongly support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), which promotes sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth and productive employment for all. It also advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening education-to-employment pathways and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through multi-sectoral collaboration among government, academia, and industry.
Through active engagement in initiatives such as the TPB Regional Roadshow, SNCFI reaffirms its role as an educational institution committed not only to academic excellence but also to contributing to inclusive labor development and sustainable national progress.
