Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI) proudly marked another milestone in its journey toward academic growth and collaboration as it took part in โ€œCONVERGE TO ACHIEVE: The Higher Education Summit,โ€ held on September 15, 2025. The event served as a premier gathering of higher education leaders, distinguished educators, and policymakers, all united in their mission to tackle pressing educational concerns, exchange innovative practices, and envision a sustainable future for higher learning in the Philippines and across the globe.

Representing SNCFI at the summit was Ms. Juliet C. Arellano-Castaรฑas, LPT, MAEd, whose active engagement in key sessions reflected the institutionโ€™s enduring commitment to educational excellence. She contributed to discussions centered on institutional collaboration, global competencies, and the dynamic challenges faced by the academic community in todayโ€™s rapidly evolving landscape. Her presence underscored SNCFIโ€™s vision of equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to thrive in a globally connected society.

The summit was graced by esteemed officials including CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis; Atty. Lily Freida C. Macabangun-Milla, CESO IV, Director of the CHED International Affairs Service; Dr. Rody P. Garcia, Regional Director of CHED Regional Office XII; and Annabelle R. Dafielmoto, MPHILO, Education Supervisor II at CHED Region XII. Their leadership and insights added significant depth to the conversations, emphasizing the crucial role of policy, governance, and collaboration in strengthening the higher education system.

A recurring theme throughout the summit was the power of convergence and partnership among academic institutions in advancing shared goals in research, instruction, and community extension. The dialogue also highlighted how schools serve as catalysts for national development, nurturing future leaders and aligning their efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)โ€”particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), which promotes inclusive and equitable lifelong learning opportunities; SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which underscores the importance of collaboration to achieve progress; and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by ensuring access to quality higher education for diverse communities.

Through its active participation in this important event, Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. reaffirmed its dedication to expanding academic linkages, embracing educational innovation, and fostering a culture of collaboration. By taking part in initiatives of this scale, SNCFI demonstrates its determination to empower students not only with academic knowledge but also with the resilience, adaptability, and global perspective needed to succeed in an ever-changing world.
