In line with its commitment to academic excellence and digital innovation, the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) program of Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI) successfully conducted IS Seminar 2026 in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region XII. Anchored on the theme โ€œShaping the Future with AI,โ€ the seminar gathered BSIS students from first to third year, along with selected Information Systems interns, for a day of intensive learning and industry-based insights.

The seminar featured timely and relevant topics, including Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity Awareness, and E-Gov PH, equipping students with knowledge on emerging technologies and digital governance systems. Esteemed speakers Anna Kathrina S. Pasquin, Jerald T. Kasim, and Rizber Escanilla shared their expertise, providing practical perspectives on how AI is transforming industries, the importance of strengthening cybersecurity defenses, and the role of the Philippine e-Government initiatives in delivering efficient public services.

Participants actively engaged in discussions, demonstrating their readiness to adapt to the demands of the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The event was made possible through the leadership of Program Head Sheryl Mae Roda, together with the dedicated Faculty Committee members Jonnel John Cuevas and Chin Lee Joy Agramon, whose efforts ensured the seminarโ€™s success.

Beyond technical knowledge, IS Seminar 2026 also reinforced the institutionโ€™s support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by providing relevant and future-ready learning opportunities; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure through technology-driven discussions; SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by promoting cybersecurity and transparent e-governance; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting the strong collaboration between SNCFI and DICT Region XII.

Through initiatives like IS Seminar 2026, SNCFI continues to shape competent, ethical, and digitally empowered future leadersโ€”ready to harness the power of AI and innovation for national development.
