Mutya ng Lamba 2025, one of the most anticipated events in Barangay Lamba, unfolded Saturday with a notable innovation: a wireless tabulation system designed and operated by the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Department of Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI).

The technology, led by Program Head Sheryl Mae B. Roda, LPT, and supported by faculty and students, was used at every stage of the competitionโ€”from preliminary scoring to the final announcement of winners. It delivered real-time results, minimized human error and assured transparency, reflecting how academic learning can directly serve community needs.

Organizers said the system strengthened trust in the judging process and underscored the role of technology in modernizing community events without diminishing their cultural significance. The integration of digital tools into the pageant aligned with broader goals of sustainable community development and innovation, where local traditions are preserved while practices evolve to meet present-day standards.

For SNCFI, the project highlighted its commitment to quality education by giving students practical experience and showing how knowledge can drive social impact. For Barangay Lamba, it became a model of partnership between institutions and local government, demonstrating how collaboration can make cultural events more efficient, credible and inclusive.

Mutya ng Lamba 2025 ended with the crowning of a new queen, but the evening stood as more than a celebration of beauty. It was an example of how education, innovation, community and partnershipsโ€”principles reflected in global sustainable development goalsโ€”can converge in even the most local of traditions.
