Students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) Department recently made meaningful contributions to both community and academic events across South Cotabato.

On October 29, 2025, the BSIS team, led by Department Head Sheryl Mae B. Roda, LPT, MIT, served as official tabulators for Mutya ng San Jose in Brgy. San Jose, Banga. Their precise and transparent tabulation promoted fairness, inclusivity, and strengthened community engagement.

The team continued their support on November 10, 2025, during Mutya ng Lake Sebu in the Municipality of Lake Sebu, helping celebrate local culture while fostering collaboration and social responsibility.

On November 12, 2025, BSIS students actively participated in TechConnect: IS Day 2025, themed โ€œCapturing Innovation: Bridging Art and Technology in the Digital Era.โ€ The event encouraged creativity, technological skills, and innovation, preparing students to contribute meaningfully to the digital landscape.

Through these activities, BSIS students not only supported their communities but also honed professional and technical skills, promoting inclusive development, innovation, and lifelong learning. Their efforts reflect a commitment to using education and technology to create positive impact in both local and broader contexts.
