Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. (SNCFI) formally marked a significant milestone in the professional journey of its Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) students through the conduct of its 2nd Pinning Ceremony on January 29, 2026, held at Blue Haven and Durian Farm Resort.
With the theme โMarked for Professional Service guided by Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence,โ the ceremony symbolized the studentsโ transition from academic preparation to professional readiness as future early childhood educators. The pinning rite recognized their perseverance, competence, and commitment to uphold the ethical standards and values of the teaching profession.
The event underscored the vital role of early childhood educators in shaping inclusive, quality, and values-driven educationโlaying strong foundations for lifelong learning. As future teachers, the BECED students are expected to serve as advocates of child-centered pedagogy, inclusive education, and community-responsive teaching practices.
Anchored on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Pinning Ceremony strongly supports SDG 4: Quality Education, as it affirms the successful completion of professional teacher education and reinforces excellence in early childhood education training. It also contributes to SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by preparing graduates for ethical entry into the education workforce, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, recognizing the role of early childhood educators in providing equitable learning opportunities, particularly for children from underserved and marginalized communities.
Furthermore, the activity advances SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as the Pinning Ceremony reflects the collaborative efforts of the institution, faculty members, partner schools, families, and community stakeholders in nurturing future educators. Such partnerships strengthen teacher preparation, promote shared responsibility in education, and support the collective goal of improving learning outcomes for young children.
Through this milestone event, Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. reaffirmed its commitment to producing competent, compassionate, and service-oriented educators who are ready to work collaboratively with communities and institutions. The 2nd Pinning Ceremony stands as a testament to SNCFIโs dedication to quality teacher education and its active role in advancing both national development priorities and global sustainability goals.
